Seruni Bodjawati is an Indonesian woman artist and painter who has received various awards in the field of art and culture. Her artworks and paintings have been displayed in galleries and museums in various cities in Indonesia as well as in countries across Asia, Europe, and America.

Seruni Bodjawati started painting at a young age and won various children's painting competitions in Yogyakarta and Central Java since the age of three. She pursued her formal education in Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Painting at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta and Master's in Fine Arts Creation at the Postgraduate Institute of Indonesian Arts Yogyakarta. Continuously dedicated to the field of art, Seruni consistently expanded her creative scope by producing indie art films, creating Javanese Wayang puppet theater, managing art projects, and writing art essays while also teaching at universities. Seruni authored the art history literacy book "Perempuan-Perempuan Menggugat" (Art Literacy of Indonesian Female Heroes) alongside activist Esthi Susanti Hudiono, with forewords by Toeti Heraty and Peter Carey. This book has become part of the official collection at the National Library of Australia and various libraries in Indonesia.

The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta awarded Seruni Bodjawati the Best Painting Work award for two consecutive years, in 2010 and 2011, as well as the Best Watercolor Painting, Best Sketch, and Best Graduate with the Highest Cumulative Achievement Index in the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2013. In 2011, Seruni was chosen as one of Indonesia's Young Heroes by Aplaus The Lifestyle Indonesia for her achievements as an artist in the international art scene. In 2012, she received the Most Inspiring Woman in Arts and Culture award from the First Lady of Indonesia, Ani Yudhoyono, and Kartini Magazine. Apart from her accomplishments in painting, the Yogyakarta Special Region Cultural Office and Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X awarded her the 1st Place as the Ambassador of the Yogyakarta Special Region Museum in 2015. Seruni also received the La Femme Awards from the Lions Club Organization as an Inspirational Woman to Others and an Honorary Award from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.
